The JMU community is proud to announce the formation of the CISE Student Diversity Council. Launching this fall semester, the CISE Student Diversity Council will have direct input to the Dean of the College of Integrated Science and Engineering, Dr. Bob Kolvoord, contributing feedback, ideas, and programs that help increase diversity+inclusion within JMU’s STEM programs. The CISE school encompasses Biotechnology, Computer Science, Geographic Science, Engineering, Integrated Science and Technology, and Intelligence Analysis, so please join if you are interested in diversifying these fields!

An initiative the CISE Dean & Student Diversity Council are proud to launch is the CISE Student Mentorship Program. We are currently looking for recent JMU graduates to serve as a mentor for a minority JMU student throughout their college experience. Hopefully this program will allow any minority student at JMU that wants a mentor the ability to have one. Mentors would provide professional, educational, and emotional support building a lifelong relationship with their mentee.
